Michael John Francis Ordinario Garcia, professionally known as Michael Garcia, is a Filipino-Italian professional dancer, choreographer, and educator born on September 10, 1994, in Milan, Italy,  Of Filipino heritage and raised in Italy,

 

Michael's connection to the arts began long before he ever considered dance a career. His earliest memories of movement are closely tied to his mother, a passionate and active member of the Filipino community in Milan. She taught Filipino folk dance and modern dance and was regularly involved in community performances and stage productions.

As a single mother, she often brought Michael with her to weekend rehearsals and dance activities. At just three years old, while watching from the sidelines, Michael began memorizing and repeating the choreography she was teaching.

​

What initially seemed like a child simply imitating movement would unknowingly become the beginning of a lifelong journey.

​

His mother never imagined that those weekends spent in rehearsal studios and community spaces would eventually shape her son's future and lead him toward a professional career in dance. For Michael, however, movement had already become something instinctive—a language he understood long before he could fully explain why.

​

As he grew older, his curiosity for dance continued to evolve. At the age of 11, Michael discovered a new world through YouTube. Watching dancers and groups such as Brian Puspos and the Jabbawockeez, he was introduced to choreography, hip-hop culture, performance, and competitive dance on an entirely different level.

​

Those videos became more than entertainment—they became his education.

​

Without formal training in the styles he was discovering, Michael began teaching himself. He spent countless hours studying choreography, replaying videos, breaking down movements, and practicing until they became his own. Through discipline, curiosity, and repetition, he gradually developed not only his skills but also his individuality as a dancer.

What started in front of a screen soon became a passion too powerful to remain a hobby.

​

Determined to pursue greater opportunities, Michael began stepping outside his comfort zone and seeking experiences beyond Milan. He participated in auditions and dance opportunities in Rome, a decision that would eventually open the door to a new chapter in his life.

​

It was there that Michael began to realize that dance could become more than a personal passion—it could become his profession.
